“…her extraordinary talent, dedication, and constant stride confirm my conviction of a brilliant cellistic career” (Sol Gabetta).
Having grown up in a strongly multicultural family of musicians, Ariadna traveled the world from a very young age, enriching her personal and musical experiences.
Ariadna is currently combining her solo and chamber music career with events such as concerts and masterclasses to help fund social projects like Proactiva Open Arms, El Sistema in Venezuela, and Musethica.
At the age of ten, Sol Gabetta, impressed by Ariadna’s talent, accepted her as a student, beginning a strong bond that shaped her early musical development. Two years later, she began receiving lessons from Ivan Monighetti in Basel, Switzerland. In 2017, she completed her Bachelor’s studies at the Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel under the tutelage of Ivan Monighetti and Sol Gabetta. In 2018, she participated in the School of Excellence program at the Musikhochschule Basel. In 2021, she graduated Cum Laude with a Master’s degree from the Conservatorium Maastricht in the Netherlands under Gustav Rivinius.
Her solo debut was at the age of 11, and since then, she has appeared regularly as a soloist in Catalonia as well as in Switzerland. She has performed in countries including Germany, Spain, Switzerland, the United States, Brazil, and Mexico. She regularly performs in chamber music formations for concerts and festivals such as Yellow Barn in the USA.
Ariadna has been a three-time winner of the Jeunesses Musicales Switzerland competition (2012, 2014, 2016). In October 2022, she made her debut at the Palau de la Música Catalana, where she won second prize in the “El Primer Palau” competition and was praised by the jury for her expressivity and technical capability.
She has taken part in numerous masterclasses such as the Kronberg Academy with Frans Helmerson and further with teachers like Jens Peter Mainz, Arto Noras, Nicolas Altstaedt, Jérôme Pernoo, Peter Bruns, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, Wen-Sinn Yang, Maria Kliegel, and Danjulo Ishizaka, Laurence Lesser and in chamber music with Rita Wagner, Ferenc Rados, Donald Weilerstein, Pauline Sachse and Vivian Hornik. Ariadna plays on an Italian violoncello built by Romeo Antoniazzi in 1918, generously granted by a private foundation in Switzerland.
